Inside My Summer Cocktail Hour with Lucchese
An intimate celebration of craftsmanship, conversation, and the enduring legacy of a true Western heritage brand.
There are brands that come and go, and then there are brands that become part of a place. The kind of brands you don't wear because they're trending, but because they stand for something deeper. Craftsmanship. Heritage. Authenticity. The belief that quality only gets better with time. For more than 140 years, Lucchese has quietly embodied exactly that.
Last week, I had the opportunity to host a summer cocktail hour inside Lucchese's Bozeman store, bringing together clients, friends, and members of my community for an evening that felt less like a shopping event and more like a celebration of one of the West's most enduring brands.
The evening also marked an exciting milestone personally, as I celebrated becoming one of Lucchese's newest brand ambassadors. More than anything, it felt like a partnership that simply made sense. I've worn Lucchese boots for years (five days out of most weeks, if I'm being honest) long before there was ever a formal relationship with the brand.
As a sixth-generation Montanan, I've always believed the brands we choose to wear should reflect the values we carry with us. Heritage. Authenticity. Craftsmanship. A respect for where we've come from while continuing to build something meaningful. Montana has shaped the way I see all of those things, and they're the same qualities that have made Lucchese an enduring part of the American West for more than a century. In many ways, this partnership doesn't feel like the beginning of something new. It feels like the continuation of a story I've already been living.
I've always believed the best partnerships aren't built around a campaign. They're built around shared values. The places we return to, the brands we recommend without being asked, and the pieces we reach for day after day become part of our story. Long before there was ever a title attached to my relationship with Lucchese, there was genuine admiration. That's what makes this partnership feel so meaningful.
The evening itself reflected exactly that philosophy. Guests wandered through the store with cocktails in hand, trying on boots they had admired for years while conversations moved effortlessly from one corner of the room to another. 1889 Bar crafted beautiful cocktails for the evening, while light bites encouraged guests to slow down and stay awhile. My drink of choice— a refreshing mix of tequila, fresh grapefruit juice, and a splash of club soda— felt perfectly suited for a warm Montana summer evening.
One of my favorite moments came through a single thoughtful detail. Each guest selected a Lucchese leather wallet or card holder before sitting down with one of Montana's premier calligraphers, who personalized every piece by hand in gold. Watching each keepsake become uniquely someone's own felt especially fitting for a brand whose story has always been rooted in craftsmanship. It transformed an already beautifully made object into something deeply personal—something that couldn't simply be picked up off a shelf. It's those details that leave the greatest impression. Not because they're extravagant. Because they're intentional.
Founded in 1883, Lucchese has remained committed to craftsmanship in a way that feels increasingly rare today. Every stitch, every piece of leather, and every silhouette reflects generations of artisans who understand that true luxury isn't about excess. It's about creating something with enough intention that it stands the test of time.
Maybe that's what has always drawn me to the brand. Not just the boots themselves, but what they represent. A belief that quality still matters. That heritage is something worth protecting. That authenticity isn't something you manufacture, it's something you earn. I've always believed the strongest brands aren't built by trying to be everything to everyone. They're built by knowing exactly who they are. Lucchese has spent more than 140 years doing exactly that.
As I continue building both my business and personal brand here in Montana, I find myself coming back to that idea often. Heritage isn't about looking backward. It's about carrying the best parts of where you've come from into everything you're building next. For me, that's what this partnership represents. Not simply a title. Not simply a campaign. But the opportunity to align with a brand whose values mirror my own. Because in the end, the brands that leave the greatest impact aren't the ones that chase attention. They're the ones that know exactly who they are…and never lose sight of it.
